I have an older (mid 90s), Canadian manufactured “Cowboy Camper” Shell made by Rough Rider. These types of camper shells are still manufactured today, although rare and hard to come by. Interior measures about 65” wide and 40-something inches high.
I bought it in its present condition about 9 months ago, and haven’t done anything to it, aside from installed a new compression boot seat to seal it to my trucks rear window ($185). I am selling it for the cost of the seal, and including the camper for free.
The fiberglass is in good shape. The window seals are also good. The seal between the upper and lower portions is decent. The door seal is rotting, but still in place. The door handle had been replaced/jimmied - works and latches, but can be stubborn. The door has removable hinge pins to remove the door completely.
With a little rigging, I was able to get the shell sealed and water tight. With work, it can be brought to its former glory (resealing, painting, and replacing hardware) but worked fine for my needs as-is.
This is for a full size truck bed. My F-250 measures 65” width between the bedrails.
